Screws

Product series, materials and dimensional information.

Screws should be selected for the substrate, installation method, head and drive. This catalog includes chipboard screws for wood-based materials and self-drilling screws for specified sheet-metal combinations.

For a quotation, identify the screw diameter, length, head form, drive, material stack and finish. Select Customized for a geometry not shown; include a drawing or part number.

Materials and international specifications

SPM reviews carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous material requirements, including titanium and nickel alloys. Exact grade and availability depend on the product and quotation.

Material selection for quotation
Material familyInformation to include
Carbon / alloy steelExact grade, property class or hardness, heat-treatment and finish requirements.
Stainless steelGrade, service environment, thread and surface-treatment requirements.
Titanium / nickel alloysExact alloy grade, drawing, critical tolerances and required inspection documents.
AluminumExact grade, dimensions, finish and application requirements.

Send the exact DIN / ISO, ASME, ASTM, API, SAE or JIS standard number and edition. These standards cover different product, material and testing requirements; naming a standard family alone is not a complete specification.

Common questions

Can SPM quote customized screws?

Yes. Select Customized and share the drawing, material grade, critical dimensions, quantity and required documents. The quotation confirms the agreed scope.

What if my size or product is not shown?

Choose Customized and provide a drawing, part number or clear description. Include the mating parts and application where they affect the selection.

Are the listed DIN and ISO references always interchangeable?

No. Compare the exact standard editions, dimensions, material requirements and product scope. The original catalog references are starting points for the inquiry.
